What is it called when you put lipstick only on the middle area of your lips...? PICTURE!?

Sometimes the outer area is lightened too to make the middle area more prominent. Often its a darkish red colour. I call it sweet heart lips but I don't think thats right and also it kind of reminds me of Betty Boop pout but I can't find any proper pictures of what I mean so here is a PaintShop picture...yes I know its a bad drawing!

Its called geisha lips - I know, because my best mate is obsessed with this look .. I just think it makes you look like you've forgotten to do the other half of your lips, but whatever ;)


The reason it's called ';geisha lips'; is because this is how the Chinese Geisha Girls (or, basically, the chinese prostitutes..) wear their lip makeup. It makes them look like they're permanently pouting, and, as they paint their faces white, it gives them a (forgive the expression) ';china doll'; look - like they're pure.

I call it geisha lips-because that's how a lot of geisha's wore their lipstick. Although I'm sure that's not right. I just wanted to comment on your awesome artwork :P

but i do know a little, they do it all the time in asian countries in traditional dress, or ceremonies so i guess you could try searching that up in google or yahoo and you'd probably get your answer.
Im not sure what it is called but it is often used in Gothic Lolita and Baby-doll Goth make up.

That looks stupid. I recommend you don't do it! If you put your lipstick on then put a dab of gloss in the center, you will have a pouty look but not look dumb. Try that instead!
There is no specific name but I'll call it 'Geisha Lips'.





You can even search on Google with 'Geisha Lips' and the results would be exactly same as your drawing, but human version.
