Do The Silly Liberals Actually Think ';A Pig In Lipstick'; Is A New Republican Phrase ?

Barry used it against Palin in reference to Sarah`s scathing speech, and the silly uneducated liberal defenders want to believe McCain coined the phrase...Silly liberals so shallow in their political knowledge.Do The Silly Liberals Actually Think ';A Pig In Lipstick'; Is A New Republican Phrase ?
The hypocrisy is glaring. I need my sunglasses. Want to know what the ';community organizer'; really did for his people?

No. He didn't call Palin a pig. He said that McCain, is trying to ';put lipstick on a pig';. This is an old saying and has been used by McCain also when referring the Hillary Clinton's health care plan. The ';pig' is the same old republican policies, proposals and people. The ';lipstick'; is the McCain campaign's claim that they are the party of ';change';.

The full quote:

“John McCain says he’s about change, too — except for economic policy, health care policy, tax policy, education policy, foreign policy and Karl Rove-style politics. That’s just calling the same thing something different.”

With a laugh, he added: “You can put lipstick on a pig; it’s still a pig. You can wrap an old fish in a piece of paper called change; it’s still going to stink after eight years.”

Also, It's the Republicans who are acting like they never heard the phrase before.
I am an educated liberal who knows that McCain is not bright enough to coin that phrase but he did use it when he ridiculed Hillary's health care plan. And I have sufficient political knowledge to know that the Iraq War was unjust and Obama knew it too.
Tangent, Tangent, Tangent. I'm tired of talking about Palin. I want to talk about the economy, high gas prices, the unusually high unemployment rate, high food prices and the housing crisis. That is all
Yes, because that is exactly what people are saying: that McCain invented the phrase 2000 years ago.

Or not.

Thanks for the 2 points, and let us know how those 15 wars that McCain and Palin would start work out for you.
If memory serves me right.. the word lipstick was not used at all in anyone's campaign until Ms Pitbull herself confused the RNC with an audition for comedy central.

You reap what you sow.
The phrase is ';like putting lipstick on a pig'; and it's hardly a new invention of ';liberals';. That phrase is at least 100 years old.
McCain USED it numerous times

regardless of the fact that it is old and trite (like McCain)

show me one statement by ANYONE claiming ';McCain coined'; that phrase

please get a life huh?
Silly Republicans are hypocrites and want to find any excuse to play the gender card. But if I called any of McCain's comments racist you'd have a fit.
They cant come up with anything to talk about..at least Reps give them something to entertain themselves with..
silly troll thinks we intelligent people really care.
McCain used the exact same phrase in a speech 10/11/07
Speaking of shallow - do you hear yourself?
